Neon fever

Temperatures start rising; electrifying colours come to life!

It is my absolute favourite time of the year. I am a very happy, energetic and fun person and colours complement my personality a lot! Therefore, in this post you will see a lot about me.

Neon was discovered in 1989 in London by British Chemists Sir William Ramsay and Morris W. Travers. Atmospheric sample was chilled until it became liquid, allowing the chemists to capture its gases while boiling.

In 1961 the year Marylin Monroe died, artist Andy Warhol painted Monroe’s face in bright neon colours such as gold, blue, green and pink, making neon a very important part of the pop culture and by 1980s neon was present in the wardrobes of fashionably avant garde.

Neon is once again haute stuff for S/S 2015. I chose neon for a casual, comfy and chic outfit for a walk in the park but you can pair neon with gladiator sandals, skater skirts, you can also tone it with a pastel geometrical skirt.

No matter how you choose to match neon, it will definately make your outfit unique.

Love,

Marta xxx
